Resolve a LinkedIn company, school or showcase page from its URL, vanity name, URN or numeric ID. The result carries the urn and the exact name needed to mention it.

Use case: tag any organization in a post. Pass { "urn": "<urn>", "text": "<name>" } in linkedin.mentions when calling POST /v1/posts/, with the same text appearing in the post content.

Limits:

  • Works from personal and company page accounts, with no admin role needed on the organization looked up.
  • This is an exact lookup, not a keyword search.
  • Accounts connected with custom scopes need rw_organization_admin, or the lookup returns a 403.

Permissions: Requires accounts:read. Access is limited by the API key creator's current organization membership and stored key ceiling. See Organization permissions.
