v2026.10.18

Instagram Reels analytics, follower growth, and follow status on webhooks

This release expands what you can learn about your Instagram audience, from Reels performance to follow status on incoming messages and comments:

  • Reels analytics: GET /v1/posts/:id/analytics now returns average watch time, total watch time, skip rate, reposts and total interactions for Reels posts, including Reels you imported rather than posted through Outstand. Any metric Meta doesn't report comes back as null and is listed under platform_specific.unavailable_fields.
  • Follower growth on accounts: GET /v1/social-accounts/:id/metrics now includes a follower_growth block with followers gained, followers lost, net change, and daily new followers. Accounts under 100 followers won't have this data from Meta; those fields come back as null and are listed under follower_growth.unavailable_fields.
  • Follow status on Instagram webhooks: message.received now includes a sender object, and comment.received now includes an author object, each with isFollower, isFollowedByAccount, followerCount and isVerified. This lets you build flows like a follow gate, where a user confirms they're following before getting a reply. For comments, this is only available once the commenter has messaged the account directly; otherwise the fields come back as null, meaning unknown rather than "not a follower." A new follow-gate recipe using quick replies has been added to the comment-to-DM guide.
  • Fixed Vimeo documentation sample: the example request on the Vimeo setup page attached media as a plain string, which the API rejects. It now shows the correct { url, filename } object format so the sample works when copied as-is.
