A new era for Outstand: every major social network, one API

With Pinterest now live, Outstand covers the social networks that matter - X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, Bluesky, and Pinterest - behind a single integration, with managed keys that mean zero per-platform setup. This is the unified social API we set out to build.

outstand-new-era

When we started Outstand, the pitch was simple to say and hard to build: integrate once, reach every social network. No juggling a different OAuth app, a different SDK, and a different set of edge cases for every platform. One API. Every network.

Today, with the addition of Pinterest, that promise rounds out.

The full lineup

Outstand now supports the social networks teams that actually publish to:

  • X
  • LinkedIn
  • Instagram
  • Facebook
  • Threads
  • YouTube
  • TikTok
  • Bluesky
  • Pinterest -> new

Nine networks. One integration. The same endpoints to publish a post, the same way to connect an account, the same shape of response - whether you're scheduling a thread on X, a Short on YouTube, or a video pin on Pinterest.

Why this is a new era, not just another network

Adding a platform isn't the interesting part. Removing the work of adding a platform is.

Two things make this milestone matter:

Managed keys - zero setup. For most APIs, supporting a network means your users go register a developer app, get approved, and hand over a client ID and secret before they can connect a single account. With Outstand's managed keys, that disappears. We operate the OAuth applications, so your customers authorize an account and start publishing - nothing to provision, nothing to maintain. For white-label and multi-tenant products, that's the difference between a connect button that just works and an onboarding flow that loses people.

The hard parts are handled. Every platform has its own landmines. Pinterest, for instance, won't accept a video URL as a pin source - it demands a multi-step upload-slot flow. So we built it: pass us the media, and Outstand downloads it, requests the slot, and uploads the bytes. You publish a video pin exactly like you publish an image. Multiply that by nine networks, and that's the surface area you don't have to own.

What you can build today

  • Connect any of nine networks with a single, consistent flow
  • Publish, schedule, and manage posts - text, image, and video - through one set of endpoints
  • Work with platform-native features (boards on Pinterest, Shorts on YouTube, threads on X) without platform-specific plumbing
  • Ship a white-label experience your users never see our branding in

This is the foundation, not the finish line

Nine networks is a milestone, not a stopping point. The architecture that let us add Pinterest cleanly is the same one that will let us keep expanding - and every network we add, you get for free, with no new integration work on your side.

That's the new era: you build your product once, and your reach keeps growing.
